Bio. Dr. Al Pucino Class Instructor

Dr. Al Pucino, Ph.D. instructor of interactive, live, synchronous manufacturing skills training short courses using Zoom. These reasonably priced classes provide advanced manufacturing skills training to reduce the manufacturing jobs skills gap in the workplace for incumbent workers in engineering, quality, and production operations. This training will provide the employee with the understanding of policies and procedures to provide them with the tools that they need to be successful, which in turn drives the productivity and profits for their company. These manufacturing topics will also provide the employee with skills that they will need for roles in management and leadership.

Dr. Al Pucino received his Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering at Stony Brook University and subsequently managed materials and processes engineering departments in his career in the aerospace and electronic components industry, at companies such as United Technologies (now Raytheon Technologies), Northrop Grumman, and Vishay Electronics. His responsibilities included material design, processing, and analysis. In addition, while in industry, he served as project leader on several multi-million-dollar research and development programs.

Dr. Pucino is the founder, and Principal Instructor & Consultant for essentialMFGconcepts      whose goal is to provide affordable manufacturing training classes for those in need of developing new manufacturing skills or improving their current skills.

Dr. Pucino is also an Advisory Board Member - Business Administration at Post University, and is currently an adjunct professor at Eastern Connecticut State University in the Mathematical Sciences Department.

In 2013, Dr. Pucino joined Goodwin University as the Director of the Manufacturing AS and BS degree programs in the Department of Business, Management and

Advanced Manufacturing. He then successfully developed the Incumbent Worker Training Program in 2016 and assumed the position of Program Director and Principal Instructor where he has instructed over 100 manufacturing skills development workshops for incumbent employees at over 70 manufacturing companies in Connecticut.

He has also held the position of Associate Professor at Goodwin University and is a United Technologies ACE Associate and holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. He has instructed as an adjunct professor in the Engineering Department at Central Connecticut State University, and has also provided adjunct training for Three Rivers Community College at General Dynamics - Electric Boat. Dr. Pucino is also a consultant for ARB Global Consulting LLC. In addition, he has provided technical consultation to the Raytheon Research Center, among other businesses. ​

He has received achievement awards throughout his career, and has published technical papers, patents, and has delivered technical presentations at engineering society conferences and manufacturing association summits.
