1. What is the difference between Short-Topics sessions and Full-Topic sessions?
Ans. Short-Topics are a series of specific manufacturing topics where the formal instruction on each topic can last between 5 minutes to 30 minutes. For this set of topics, you as an employer are asked to select as many of the topics that you would like presented in one class session. You may pick up to 23 topics for a Short-Topic session. Note that, for items selected from the Short-Topics series, there is a minimum charge of $175. regardless of the number of topics that you select. Full-Topic courses typically consist of 1 topic per class session and are completed in 1 day. The cart will indicate to you the total cost and session duration for your topic selections.
2. Can employee substitution be made in the class after it is booked?
Ans. The employer may substitute a different employee for a class up until the start of the class session. The employer will, however, be responsible for inviting the new participant to the class that will be either on-site at your location or online via a Zoom session.
3. How do I request the course topics that I want the employees to take?
Ans. Please follow the steps below. Note that training requests for the Multi Short-Topics and the Single Full-Topics need to be placed separately.
4. What social media platform do you use when you deliver the online content?
Ans. Our company, essentialMFGconcepts (EMC,) uses Zoom. Each participant will be emailed a link, date and time for the Zoom meeting by EMC prior to the class.
5. How do I pay the course registration fee?
Ans. Please make payment by company check made payable to essential MFGconcepts - Dr. A. Pucino
6. When is this payment due?
Ans. The payment in full is due in full upon completion of the session.
7. How far in advance do I need to cancel a session in order to avoid paying the class registration fee?
Ans. Cancellation must be made 48 hours prior to the start of the class scheduled date and time.
8. Up to how many employees can participate in the particular class I selected for the price shown?
Ans. The price that is indicated in this Web site is the price for up to a group of 10 participants.
9. What computer accessories do the employees’ need when they choose to participate in the online Zoom session?
Ans. I recommend that participants have a speaker, webcam, and microphone.
10. How do I indicate the date and time that I would like for my employees to attend a session?
Ans. Click the "Request Training" button. When you reach the "Scheduling" page you indicate the date and time for the session you have selected.
11. Is there testing available after completion of the class?
Ans. There are no planned tests for the courses.
12. Are there any prerequisites
Ans. There is no prerequisites for a topic unless otherwise noted in the course description. It is recommended that participants have a working knowledge of basic math, and are familiar with simple graphs.
13. Will Certificates of Completion be provided for the students who complete the class?
Ans. A Certificate of Completion for each class participant will be emailed to their employer for distribution.
14. Does the course instructor both hold a technical college degree and have significant industrial experience on the topics for the courses that they instruct.
Ans. Course instructors hold a minimum of a Masters’ degree in a related technical discipline and have significant industrial experience with the course topic(s) that they instruct.
15. Will the class attendees be able to ask questions and receive answers in real-time during each class whether it is delivered on-site or online?
Ans. Absolutely. Asking questions during on-site and online courses is encourged.This is a key feature for the online courses offered by essentialMFGconcepts. Since these classes are synchronous (live), the students have the opportunity to ask questions of the instructor and have discussions with other class members.
